Testimonials - Coaching

If you want change in the way you are thinking about solving a problem or achieving a goal, then Ross is your guy! He helped me to explore and find new solutions in my life and was particularly savvy helping me use powerful metaphors that brought about change.

Linda

Your coaching was of extreme value to  me.

APS officer

Your coaching sessions have really helped me...I am really glad that I made contact. Setting aside dedicated time each week over a series of weeks to focus on issues and identify actions makes it much easier to dis-entangle knotty problems and commit to action. Many staff put a lot of focus on our work, which is a good thing except where we ignore the ‘life’ side of the balance and get bogged down in unproductive approaches. It does take some trust to discuss things...but I found that your ability to focus on narrowing down options and ensuring a ‘self-reward’ moment as actions are taken was very useful to me.

After 15 years of running my company I didn't know why I did it any longer or if I wanted to. Executive coaching provided a way to explore what was behind these feelings in a non-judgemental environment. The reflective questions and coaching models Ross taught have proved very useful, allowing me to take a step back and look at my reactions and motivations. I feel optimistic that the excitement I had in the early days can be regained.

It's been a revelation! Ross has enabled me to tackle the 'known unknowns', and explore some of the 'unknown unknowns', as I transit between Chaplaincy and parish ministry. Bringing graciousness and insight, he's helping me ask the quality questions that overcome binary thinking and draw out three-dimensional understanding. The support Ross has given me has enabled me to discover
God in the space between Leadership and Spiritual Direction. I whole-heartedly commend his work.

I found the process very beneficial. It helped me clarify the direction I would like to head in regarding my career path including what values and other criteria I hold as important when considering job position. You also enabled me to feel more confident when submitting my work for review to my current supervisor and skills to further assist me with my current work. Thanks

I received support from Ross Rowe Coaching when I had come to a cross roads in my career.  Ross provided guidance and tools which significantly assisted me to make the best decision for my career and personal  circumstances.

Natalie

I was angry with God and how he'd messed up my life, and had many good reasons to want him gone. Ross helped me to untangle them and explore what was behind them. He gave me a safe space to start opening up again to God, expressing how I was feeling rather than burying my rage and hiding behind a "good Christian" exterior. The experience was liberating and mended a hole inside me. I know now that God loves me, and I want to know him more.

Peter

Ross provided space for me to arrive at my own conclusions about my career aspirations, supervisory and mentoring skills with thought provoking questions and inquiries in an informal conversational setting. I hope that the people I supervise are benefitting from improved conversations about work requirements. Benefits include confidence in my strengths and improved awareness of areas that I can improve in, and rediscovered values and areas of interest that I could develop in my career and personal life.                                                                                                                                                      Executive officer

“Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime”. After my coaching sessions with Ross, I realise I have gained a lot more than what I had signed up for. I have not only the tools for setting goals, but also developed greater self-awareness and the ability to make decisions that are empowering.

Ross helped me establish career goals that truly reflect my personal values. I now have the tools I need to confidently pursue my dreams.

Barbara

I'd always been skeptical of coaching but wish I'd done this sooner. Ross doesn't judge and is skilful at listening and pulling out insights that made me go "that is so true - why didn't I think of that before?".  I came away feeling whole and that it's okay to bring all of myself to my job.

Handouts are good, and I will study at home, and raise issues with my family – we all should think about what makes us happy, or more particularly, why we feel sometimes like we do.

I enjoyed it, would recommend it, and pity more didn’t attend.

Executive officer

I found the difference between emotions and feelings helpful to know/learn that emotions are non-conscious and that the feelings are the minds assessment will help analyse future situation that may arise. … perhaps a longer session next time.
